To Begin you need three things

1. An Easel, I bought an Avanti Master Studio Easel from ArtSupply.com the cheapest you can get.
   
   
   This is the stable and the best you can get for a long term art career.
   


2. Four Condensed Charcoal Pencil, eraser and sharpener, Charcoal pencil gives the best idea of shades


3. Newsprint Paper Pad 14" x 17"
   
   Why ? because They are the lowest quality and so Cheap perfect for lot of rough work.
